We developed and produced a prototype of a machine for collecting indigenous seed material.

For the needs of Agricultural Institute of Slovenia (KIS) and their project Conservation of priority grassland habitats in Slovenia through the establishment of seed bank and in situ restoration (LIFE FOR SEEDS) we developed and produced a prototype of a machine for collecting indigenous seed material.

It is a self-propelled brush machine with a width of 1.6 m, which is driven by a BCS 740 single-axle tractor. The hydrostatic drive of the brush with the possibility of changing the direction and speed of the rotation and stepless hydraulic height adjustment enables the collection of seeds from a height of 15 cm. External steering was added to the machine for easier and more efficient work on steep and demanding terrain.
