Last week, our researcher Dr. Vanja Čok successfully presented the GenAID project at the IRT Forum 2026 event in Portorož, as part of the outreach and dissemination activities (WP2). The forum brought together researchers, industry representatives, and stakeholders in the field of innovation, offering an excellent opportunity to present the project to a broader professional audience and exchange knowledge.

At the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering booth, she presented the GenAID Erasmus+ project—an initiative aimed at integrating generative artificial intelligence into product development and engineering education. Visitors were able to learn about the project’s main objectives, such as developing competencies for the effective use of GenAI tools, designing high-quality prompts, and critically evaluating results, while emphasizing the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence.

As part of the presentation, participants were invited to complete a short survey on the integration of artificial intelligence into mechanical engineering studies. The feedback collected will contribute to better collaboration between academia and industry and to the further development of educational content. The event also provided an opportunity for active networking and the exchange of knowledge among various stakeholders.
